Meeting behavior and campout participation policy. Approved 12/04/06.

Inappropriate behavior at Trop Meetings and Campouts will not be tolerated. Inappropriate behavior can and will result in a Scout not being allowed to attend the next campout.

Examples of unacceptable behavior include but are not limited to:
  1. Failure to follow reasonable directives from adult or junior leaders.
  2. Talking back to adult or youth leaders.
  3. Horseplay, hitting, grabbing or jumping on another scout.
  4. Unnecessary or inappropriate physical roughness.
  5. Threating or intimidating another person by word or action.
  6. Foul language, as well as negative or derogatory banter.
  7. Offensive behavior or language regarding race, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.
  8. Behavior that displays disrespect for another person's personal property
  9. Running through the church.
  10. Abuse of Church property or Troop property.
  11. Any behavior that is contrary to the Scout Oath or Law.
The result of such behavior shall be a "strike" as determined by the Scoutmaster or ASM in charge of the meeting (the Scoutmaster shall keep any list). Three "strikes" and the Scout will not be allowed to attend the next campout (more serious behavior shall be dealt with by the Scoutmaster and Troop Committee and are not covered in this policy). In an effort to avoid a tattletale mentality all complaints by boys should go through the Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Troop Guide, Instructor, or JASM and be presented to the Scoutmaster or ASM in charge of the meeting.
